CDS-Combined Defence Services exam is organized by UPSC-Union Public Service Commission to provide services for officer’s grade in the Army, Air Force & Navy. It is occurred usually two times in a yr. CDS-I in Feb. & CDS-II in Sept.

If the candidates qualify the written test, they have to appear in the interview which is organized by SSB-Service Selection Board & after selection they are offered to join IMA-Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy & OTA-Officers Training Academy, Chennai to train the candidates. Permanent commission is received by the candidates who join 1st 3 institutions whereas short service commission is received by those who pass out of OTA, Chennai. While filling the application forms candidates must give their choices.

Essential Criteria: Male candidates must indicate their choices when they fill the application forms for CDS exam. Female candidates are desirable to join only 14th SSCW Non Tech OTA program. Read more at recruitmentdetails.com

Special Features

For IMA 137th course & INA & AFA:  Candidates (men) must be unmarried.

Candidates having NCC Naval Wing C certificate get relaxation of 2 yrs.

For Officer's Training Academy SSC course:   Married men can also appear.

For Officer's Training Academy SSC Women (Non Tech) course:  Women candidates must be unmarried.

Important Note: Entrance Exam will be held in the month of September.
