The Tata Memorial Centre is the national comprehensive cancer centre for the prevention, treatment, education and research in Cancer and it is one of the leading cancer centres of the world. It is closely associated with the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC). It has specialization in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (A.L.L). The hospital claims to treat and cure 99% of the A.L.L patients.This achievement has been possible due to total support of the Department of Atomic Energy, responsible for managing this Institution since 1962 .
