Staff Selection Commission( SSC) is an Indian organisation to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. The main objective of it is to conduct examinations and/or interviews to make recruitment to Group “B” and Group “C” posts for the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

SSC will conduct a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment of  Junior Engineer (Civil, Civil & Electrical, Electrical & Mechanical, QS & C, Civil & Mechanical) in various departments.

2	Jr. Engineer (Civil & Electrical) Department of Posts	18-27 years	Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
3	Jr. Engineer (Civil), MES	Below 30 years	Degree/Diploma  in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
4	Jr. Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical), MES	Below 30 years	Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.
5	Jr. Engineer (QS & C) MES	18-27 years	3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized institution.
6	Jr. Engineer Civil & Mechanical), CWC and Farakka Barrage	Below 32 years	Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University.

Application Fee : Candidates fulfilling desired criteria for  pay the fee of Rs.100/-. Candidates should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of Challan or through SBI net banking. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ ST  are exempted from payment of fee.

Selection Process : Candidates will be shortlisted for Interview on the basis of their total marks in the Written Examination. Read more at recruitmentdetails.com

How to Apply : candidates may apply online through the website www.ssconline.nic.in. On-line application will be available from 23-02-2013 to 15-03-2013 (Extended to 22-03-2013) for Part II registration and up to 13-03-2013 for Part-1 Registration. Candidates should not send the print out of  their application to the commission.
