Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an Indian organization to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. Its main role is in conducting  examinations or interviews to make recruitment to Group “B” and Group “C” posts for the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

Staff Selection Commission North Eastern Region (SSC NER) is looking for the recruitment of  Zoological Assistant (General Central Service Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial & Non-Technical) in Zoological Survey of India, Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt. of India and  Scientific Assistant-I (General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Faridabad, Ministry of Agriculture, Deptt. of Agriculture & Cooperation, Govt. of India.

Post wise details are as follows :

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18-25 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. Relaxation in age will be applied as per Govt. norms.

Selection Criteria: Selection will be done on the performance in screening test/ proficiency test/ interview.

Fee Structure : Candidates will pay the fee of Rs.50/- in the form of CRFS pasted at the top of the application in the space provided which must be got cancelled from the counter clerk of any post office. There is no fee for Women candidates /SC/ST/ PH candidates.

How to Apply: Desired candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format through the website http://ssc.nic.in along with one recent passport size photograph affixed and one additionally duly attested photograph to be enclosed, attested photocopies  of all required documents by super scribing the post applied for on the top of the envelope, to theRegional Director, Staff Selection Commission (NER), Housefed Complex, Last Gate, Beltola Basistha Road, Dispur,Guwahati-781006 (Assam).

Closing Date to submit Applications: 24-06-2013 till  05:00 pm.
