The Department of Posts is a government-operated postal system in India.It is generally referred to within India as "the post office". The postal service is under the Department of Posts, which is part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Government of India. India has been divided into 22 postal circles, each circle headed by a chief postmaster general. Each circle is divided into regions, headed by a postmaster general and comprising field units known as divisions (headed by SSPOs and SPOs).

Mumbai circle post office invites eligible candidates for filling up to Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Postal Assistant (Mail Motor Service), and Postal Assistant (Foreign postal organization) posts recruitment and many other.

Essential Qualification : The candidates should have 10+2 passed examination mark sheet from any reputed board.

Age limit – Candidates should be between 18 to 27 years. Relaxation will be given as per govt. rules.

Salary structure – Shortlisted candidates will be given a good scale and incentives.

Fee Structure – Applicants have to pay the application fee as per Mumbai Post Office Recruitment 2013 Norms which will be non-refundable.

How to apply – Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed format of application form on or before last dated 2013. Dully filled application should be submitted along with  all the necessary documents (photo-copies) to the “Office Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle Mumbai – 400001”.
