Under the re-organization of Madhya Pradesh, the State of Chattisgarh came into existence on 1st November 2000 and Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission was established under the provision of Act 315 of the Constitution of India on 23rd May 2001. It conducts examinations for the appointments in the state and advises the state government on all matters related with the state civil service, the eligibility, transfer and promotion of the civil servants.

Applications are invited from Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) for the post  of Librarians.

Name of the Post: Librarian (Higher Education)

No. of Posts: 61

Academic Qualification: Candidates having Degree with minimum of 55% marks in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science or equivalent from recognized university will be considered.

Age Limit : Candidates should be between 21 yrs and 30 yrs and for Chhattisgarh Local Candidates maximum age should be 35yrs as on 01-01-2014. Relaxation will be applied as per the Govt. rules.

Fee Structure : Candidates has to pay the online application fee of Rs.400/- for general and Rs.300/- for SC/ST & OBC of Chhattisgarh through online only.

Mode of Selection : Selection will be done on the basis of  the performance in written test and  interview.
