The National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology (NRCPB) was established in 1985 to undertake research, teaching and training personnel in the modern areas of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Since its inception, the Centre has grown and has acquired high degree of scientific competence and established excellent research facilities.NRCPB has issued notification for the recruitment of Senior Research Fellow.Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates to appear in Walk-in-interview to be conducted on 09^th April,2013.

Project Title : “Understanding plant nematode interactions using RNAi”  PI: Dr. P.K.Jain

Name of the Post : Senior Research Fellow

Emoluments : Rs.16,000/- + 30% HRA fixed per month.

Age limit : Upper age limit is 35 years. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and woman candidates as per ICAR rules.

Educational Qualification : M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Biochemistry/Life sciences) with minimum 60% marks. 

Desirable Work Experience : Two or more years’ experience in the area of Plant Molecular Biology. Experience preferably in gene cloning, nematode handling, qRT-PCR analysis and plant transformation.
