Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

IISER has invited applications from Indian citizen for the following position under the funded projects.

Name of the Post : Research Associate.

Project Title : “Molecular and genetic characterization of Drosophila and mouse Ataxin-2 binding protein 1 in the context of spinocerebellar Ataxia type 2” funded by the Department of

Science and Technology”

Project Duration : Initially for a period of one year with possibility of extension to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

Educational Qualification : The candidate must have First class or equivalent Bachelor’s and Master’s level degree in any area of Biology, with Ph.D. in neuroscience or related areas.

Desirable : Candidates with high quality publications in international, peer-reviewed journals and demonstrated experience in maintaining and manipulating neuronal cell cultures (cell lines and primary cultures) will be preferred. Read more at recruitmentdetails.com

Age limit : Below 35 years as on 21.04.2013.Age relaxation will be admissible as per Govt. rules.

Pay scale:  Rs.22,000/- per month +20% HRA.

Interview Details : The list of the shortlisted candidates for interview with details of date, time and venue will be put up on the Institute website by April 22, 2013 and candidates will be informed by email only. Interviews will be held at IISER Pune on May 01, 2013. The print out of the prescribed application form sent to us by email, signed and dated by the applicant, along with a recent passport size photograph and photocopies of relevant certificates and other testimonials in support of age, qualification, caste, experience etc. will be collected at the time of interview. Applicant has to bring all the original certificates at the time of interview for the purpose of verification, along with one set of photocopies.
