The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) is an Indian Public health, Biotechnology and Translational research center located in Hyderabad, India. The institute is one of the oldest research centers in India, and the largest center, under the Indian Council of Medical Research, located in the vicinity of Osmania University. The institute carries out research in clinical nutrition, pharmacology, pathology, toxicology, food chemistry, endocrinology, molecular biology, regenerative medicine, community nutrition, ophthalmology, and sports nutrition.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Project Assistant from National Institute of Nutrition.

Title of the Project : “Studies on the effects of Obesity and Obesity induced type -2 diabetes on advanced aging phenomenon” funded by DBT.
Educational Qualification : The candidates must be M. Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences. OR 1st Class B.Sc. in life sciences with wet laboratory experience/ handling laboratory animals for 1- 2 years
Desirable : The must have experience in handling laboratory animals and routine biochemical laboratory work.
Age : The candidates must be below 30 years. Relaxation of age is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per G.O.I. rules.
Salary scale : Rs.8000/-p.m. (fixed)
Duration : Initially for 1 year, which can be extended on the performance and funds position.
Date of Interview : 25-04-2013 at 9:30 a.m sharp.
How to apply : The candidates have to bring all original certificates of educational qualification(from SSC onwards), experience and caste along with a photo and set of photo copies duly attested for attending the Interview. The persons belonging to Other Backward Category shall bring the O.B.C. Certificate issued by the respective concerned Tehsildar/ M.R.O, specifically issued for the purpose of applying for Central Government post.
