The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), an autonomous Society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, is looking for suitable candidates for filling up the position of Junior research Fellow under the project . Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates to appear in Walk-in-interviewto be conducted on 08th April,2013.
Project Title : “Geological Evolution of Northern Indian Ocean.”
Tenure : The tenure of the appointment would be 1 year or the completion of project,whichever is earlier. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Emoluments : Rs.12,000/- per month + 20% HRA.
Age limit : Upper age limit is 28 years.Relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC and woman candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
Educational Qualification :Masters Degree in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology/ Marine Sciences/Physics from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at Graduation and Post Graduation level.
Desirable Experience : Knowledge of Marine Geological/ Geophysical data processing and interpretation and exposure to UNIX/LINUX environments with programming skills, preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates
Date & Time of Interview : 08th April 2013, (registration time 9.00-10.00 am).
