The Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB) was established in 1935 as the first non official centre in to carry out basic biomedical research and was taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) in 1956. CSIR-IICB today is engaged in research on diseases of national importance and certain biological problems of global interest. IICB is one of the major institutes in India which initiated, right from its inception, multidisciplinary concerted efforts for conducting basic research on infectious diseases, specifically leishmaniasis and cholera.

Qualification : M.Sc in Biochemistry, Physiology, Zoology, Life Science with at least 55% marks.
Age limit : 28 years as on date of interview.
Salary : Rs.16,000/-p.m +HRA.
