The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) is an international, non-profit research organization. Established as a special project of UNIDO, it became fully autonomous in 1994 and now counts over 60 member states.At present more than 400 people from 38 different countries are working in the ICGEB laboratories as research scientists, postdoctoral fellows, Ph.D students, research technicians and administrative personnel.

Applications are invited for the appointment of Junior Research Fellow.
Project Title : “Role of sub 1locus in the improvement of submergence tolerance in the deep water cultivars of North-East region.”
Project Duration : Three years. Appointment initially for six months, to be extended upon satisfactory performance to the end of the Project period.
Name of the Post : Junior Research Fellow.
Educational Qualification : Candidates should have a M.Sc Degree in Life Sciences / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology or any related area. Working Knowledge in the areas of recombinant DNA techniques, molecular analysis (Southern, Northern, Western blotting methods) and plant transformation is desirable.
