North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU),established by an Act of Parliament to pay special attention to the improvement of social & economic conditions of the hill areas of North-Eastern region. At present there are fifty-three undergraduate colleges affiliated to the University including eight professional colleges.

NEHU has issued notification for the appointment of Guest Faculty on contractual basis and invites applications on plain paper along with CV and other relevant documents for the post of Guest Lecturers in Department of Library & Information Sciences,NEHU,Shillong for teaching in current semester.
Position : Guest Lecturers
Department : Department of Library & Information Science
Essential Qualification : MLISC with min. 55% marks or NET/Ph.D in Library & Information Science.
Age limit : Maximum age admissible for the above post is 35 years as on 01.03.2013.
Salary payable : Remuneration will be Rs.1,000/- per lecture subject to max. Rs.25,000/- per month.
Last date : Closing date of application to reach office of the undersigned is 05th March,2013.
Date of Interview : Date of interview will be announced on NEHU website.Candidates will have to regularly visit the website mentioned below.
