About Tripura Public Service Commission


Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October, 1972, under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P.Bagchi was the first Chairman and Sri I.K.Roy was the first Member of the Tripura Public Service Commission. The Commission is, at present, located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala.

Assistant Professor 07(UR-3,SC-1,ST-3)
(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master’s degree level, in the relevant subjects or an equivalent degree from an Indian/ Foreign recognized University.  (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Asstt. Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.  (iii) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such master’s programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

(i) A recognized Dental qualification included in Part-I & III of the Schedule of the Dentist Act, 1948. Preferable:- (i) Recognized Post- graduate degree as appended to this schedule. (ii) Working knowledge of Bengali.

(ii) 3 (three) years’ regular teaching experience in H.S (+2 stage) Schools. OR (ii)3 (three) years teaching experience in an Institution of teacher education. OR (B )M.Ed with Master Degree in the relevant Subject. (C)Knowledge of Bengali or Kak Barak.

Age Limit : Upper age limit is 40 Yrs as on 16.04.2013.Relaxation in age limit to reserved candidates would be applicable as per Govt. rules.


Application Fees : (i) Group-A Posts Rs.200/-  only for General Candidates and Rs.150/- only for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates. (ii) Group-B Posts Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred and fifty) only for General Candidates and Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only for ST/SC/BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates. 


Application Process : Application in the prescribed form duly filled in by the candidate and 2(two) copies of recent stamp size photographs of the candidate affixed on the Application and Admit Card along with the copies of self attested certificates, self addressed envelope bearing postage stamp of  Rs. 5/- (rupees five) should be submitted to theReception Counter of the TPSC Secretariat before 5.00 PM of the closing date 16-04-2013.
