About Central Agricultural Research Institute
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) established Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI) by merging regional stations of IARI, IVRI, CPCRI and CMFRI to provide better livelihood to the people of remote island. Since then CARI is conducting research work for the farming community of these Islands. Presently, the research work has been conducted under five division viz., Field Crops, Natural Resource Management, Animal Science, Horticulture and Forestry & Fishery Science and Social Science section.

Duration of Project : Upto March 2015 or till termination of project.
Educational Qualification : 10+2 with one year experience in Agriculture or Intermediate with Agriculture or High School with Diploma in Agriculture.Candidates having knowledge of computer & 2 years field experience in Agriculture and allied field will be desirable.
Age limit : Maximum age limit is 35 years as on date of notification. Age relaxation to SC/ST candidates will be given upto 5 years and 3 years for OBC as per Government rules & regulations.
How to apply : The candidates fulfilling the above criteria may attend the walk-in-interview with a copy of Resume, original certificates along with their attested photocopies and a passport size photograph on March 28, 2013 at 11.00 A.M. at Central Agricultural Research Institute, Garacharma,Port Blair. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing the interview.
