The Chandigarh Housing Board  was established in the year 1976 by extending the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971 to the Union Territory of Chandigarh. The primary objective of the Board is to provide reasonably priced, good quality housing for the shelter less persons residing in the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Till March 2011, the Chandigarh Housing Board has constructed a total of 49713 houses of various categories. It has been estimated that about 25% of the population of Chandigarh is living in CHB houses. The Board has maintained a reputation for providing well designed houses with good quality of construction at prices much lower than the market. CHB invites applications from eligible and competent candidates for the post of Clerk.

Eligibility :Bachelor’s degree from recognized university with knowledge of Computer .

Age limit :  Age should be  18-25 years for General candidate, Relaxation for SC candidate 30 years & OBC candidates 28 years & 35 years for Physically handicapped candidates.

How to apply : The application in the prescribed format accompanied by non- refundable fee in the form of bank draft of Rs.500/-(For General Category & OBC) and Rs. 250/- (SC category) in favour of Chandigarh Housing Board, Chandigarh, complete in all respect should reach the Secretary, Chandigarh Housing Board, 8 Jan Marg, Sector 9, Chandigarh super scribing "Application for the post of Clerk" on the envelope on or before 8/4/2013.Ex-servicemen/Physically handicapped candidates are exempted from fees.

Selection Procedure : Selection will consist of three phases –
1.       Typing Test (Qualifying Test),
2.       Written test,(90 marks)
3.       Interview (10 marks)
