Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the Department of Ceramic Engineering of the Institute.

Name of the Post : Jr. Research Fellow

Project Title : “Evolution of nanoporosity and nanostructure in polymer derived amorphous silicon oxycarbide ceramics”

Name of Sponsoring Agency : DST,Govt. of India.

Duration of Project : 3 years.

Job Description : Fabrication and physico chemical characterization of a new class of ceramic materials from silicon containing polymers.

Consolidated Pay : Rs.16,000/- per month (1^st & 2^nd year) & Rs.18,000/- (3^rd year).

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech in Ceramic/Chemical/Metallurgical/Mechanical or M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Geosciences etc.

Desirable : Experience in laboratory practice for synthesis and characterization of ceramics/materials is preferred.
