XAT

XAT is the MBA Entrance Exam which is organized at national level by XLRI Jamshedpur. After getting XAT scores Candidates can join XLRI Jamshedpur & other Xavier Affiliated Management Institutions. They can also join around 100 Business-schools of the country.

Like MAT & CAT, XAT is also an aptitude test which is organized to determine the management ability of those candidates who want to achieve greater posts in their lives. In last 50 yrs XLRI has been among the leading institutes of Management studies which organizes XAT exam at national level in the country. The B-schools which are affiliated with Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) or XLRI hold this exam. Admissions are provided in PG programs in Management in around 100 Xavier Association of Management Institutes including XLRI on the basis of that XAT’s score. SBI Exam2014

Essential Criteria: Willing candidates should have graduation degree in any stream from reputed university. Candidates who are in their final yr can also appear. But they will have to deposit their final mark sheet on the date provided to them by the institute. 

Fee Structure: Gen. candidates have to pay Rs.950 while SC/ST/OBC candidates have to pay Rs.650. CAT Exam 2014

Pattern of the Exam: There are 2 question papers.

Paper 1-It is of objective type paper. It is divided into 3 parts:

·         Decision Making

·         Quantitative Aptitude.

·         Verbal Ability

The duration of the paper is 3 hrs.

Paper 2-It is halfway objective & halfway subjective. It is also divided into 2 parts:

·         Essay Writing

·         General Awareness

Mode of Selection: The short listing of candidates is done on the XAT scores & cut off marks of B-schools. Then they have to appear in PI, GD & several process organized by Business schools. IBPS Exam 2014

Application Process: Candidates should go to website of XAT, www.xatonline.net.in to apply online. Applications are filled online & payment is given via DD, net banking or via Debit or Credit Card.
