The Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board (TRB) under the Government of Tamil Nadu conducts Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) every year for those candidates who wish to become teachers of  Primary Class (Class I to V) and Upper Primary Class (Class VI to VIII)

Essential Qualification : Candidates applying for the TET must possess the following qualifications :

Paper-I (For class I-V) - Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2 Pattern) and Diploma in Teacher Education in a Recognized Teacher Training Institute /DIET.

Paper-II (For Class VI-VIII) - Candidates having Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. /B.Sc. / B.Litt.) with Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography or a Degree with any one of the equivalent subjects from a Recognized University under 10+2+3 Pattern and a Degree in Teacher Education (B.Ed.) from a Recognized University.

Candidates appearing for the final examination of D.E.Ed /B.Ed. during the current academic session 2012-13 are also permitted to appear for the Teacher eligibility Test (TET).

Application Fee : Application can be obtained from 17.06.2013 to 01.07.2013 from all the Head Masters of Government Higher Secondary Schools after the payment of Rs. 50/-in cash.

Examination Fee : Examination Fee is Rs.500/- for General & OBC Candidates &  Rs.250/- for SC/ST and other reserved category candidates.Read more at recruitmentdetails.com. Fee can be paid in any of the branches of SBI /IOB/Canara Bank using Prescribed Challan attached with the Prospectus.

How to apply : Eligible candidates meeting the required eligibility may apply through OMR application format only. The completely filled-in application form and the TRB Copy of the Fees Payment Challan must placed inside the envelope provided and submitted in person in the Office of the District Educational Officer on or before 01-07-2013 up to 05:30 PM.
