Karnatak Examinations Authority organizes Karnataka PG Common Entrance Test (PGCET) to get admission to 1st year / 1st semester for MBA /MCA /M.Tech /M.E. courses in the Karnataka (Infrastructure Management).
M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch / MBA (Infrastructure Management) Course (For Full Time)
§ Valid GATE score candidates recognized by KEA
§ Passed candidates of prescribed qualifying exam or exam which is equivalent to it with a min.50% marks (45% for SC/ST & Category-I candidates) in agreegate in all the subjects of all the semesters/ years of the Degree Exam.
For Part Time M.E. / M.Arch / M.Tech courses:
Passed candidates of prescribed qualifying exam or exam which is equivalent to it with a min.50% marks (45% for SC/ST & Category-I candidates) in aggregate in all the subjects of all the semesters/ years of the Degree Exam with 3 yrs working experience.

Criteria of Entrance Test: Candidates have to appear in Entrance Test for each course.Admission is based on the merit list which is prepared by adding 50% marks gained in the qualifying exam /opt. subjects (all 3 yrs) & 50% marks gained in the Entrance test.Question paper consists of multiple choice questions with 50 questions of 1 hour 15 mins.

Fee Structure: The candidates first collect from the concerned P.G.Depart. challans to pay fees of Entrance Test.Entrance Test fees for Parts - A,B,C,D,E,F will be Rs.500/- (Rs.250 for SC/ST/Cat-I) for every Subject & for Part-G will be Rs.700/- (Rs.350/-for SC/ST/Cat-I) for every Student. Fee can be deposited in the form of Bank Challan or DD drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Karnataka University Payable at Dharwad.
Application Procedure: Applications forms can be downloaded from the website of Karnatak University & it should be deposited with duly filled & DD of Rs.400/-(Rs.200/- for SC/ST/C-I) drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, Karnataka University, Dharwad" payable at Dharwad. Candidates can receive the application form from State Bank of India or Syndicate Bank, Karnataka University Campus, Dharwad by giving Rs. 400/- (for SC/ST/C-I,Rs.200/-). By paying Rs.500/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST/C-I) (including Rs.100/-for postage & service charges) through DD drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, Karnatak University, Dharwad" payable at Dharwad with a envelope of self-addressed & superscribing "APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO___ (mentioning the course/s)".

Karnatak University was founded at Dharwad in October 1949.Officially it was inaugurated in March 1950.It is the 2nd oldest in the state of Karnataka after University of Mysore. Arts, science and social science are the three faculties.UGC has authorized it with "Potential for Excellence". It has been developed very rapidly.
